Hallie's Last Day of School!

Where did the year go?!

Miss Hallie has completed her first year of preschool.  Hallie loves school! She learned so much about getting along, sharing, and serving others.  It is amazing.  She is such a smart, sweet little girl.  Along with the "regular" school lessons, she also learned many different Bible songs and Bible verses.  Those always make our hearts smile. She had a wonderful teacher and made many sweet friends.

On Hallie's last day of school, she had Field Day.  She was so excited about this--they played super fun games and just stayed outside most of the morning.  Their last day was also a half day, so I just took the day off.  The plan was that I'd go to Field Day and we'd leave and have lunch when they were done.  But when 10:30 came (the end of Field Day), Hallie did not want to go home yet!  Thankfully, she had a very sweet teacher who said there were a few other kids staying and that Hallie was welcome to stay until noon.  Hallie practically begged to stay, so I left Hallie there and went to the mall! :o)  To celebrate her last day of school, Hallie got to choose where she wanted to go to lunch...and she chose her favorite...Cracker Barrel!  It was a fun day!  Now, if only it had been my last day of school, too! :o)

Looking sleepy but excited about her last day of school!

Mommy's Birthday

Today I turned 34.  Yep.  Sometimes I find it really difficult to remember how old I am.  I certainly don't feel *34* (whatever 34 is supposed to feel like).  So I am very fortunate to have Hallie.  She knows how old I am.  And if she doesn't, I just have to think of how old she is and add 30 to it. :o)

For my birthday, we took a little day trip to Dallas to take Hallie ice-skating. :o)  We were dressed for the warm weather we had been having in Waco only to have it dip into the 50s when we were in Dallas.  It was CHILLY! Thankfully, we had on jeans and a few sweaters (for ice skating).  We did a little shopping, ice skated, and then had a late lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.  It was a wonderful birthday with my two favorite people!

Now...birthday picture overload! :o)

Hallie showing off her green band--she got to ride the carousel as may times as she wanted!

Ready for her first time on the ice!  She was SO excited!
