I saw a Top Ten for 2009 on someone else's blog...so I thought I would do the same for Hallie's blog. Hallie's Top Ten Favorite Books for 2009. These books are always in rotation. We read three books each night and she gets to choose them. Sometimes we might read a book two times, but it is always only three books. Otherwise we would be reading the ten listed below plus twenty more from her various book baskets! Right now the first three are her absolute favorite right now. She has loved Llama Llama Mad at Mama for a long time now...so we got her Llama Llama Red Pajama and Ballet Kitty for Christmas and she adores both of them! Ballet Kitty was a hit--she loves pink and she loves ballet! :o) As a teacher, I'm always on the look out for a book that could be Hallie's next favorite. So let me know--what are some favorite children's books at your house?!

This was actually one of my favorite books when I was little!

We also love Llama Llama Mad at Mama! We need to get the red pajama one, too. Another couple of our favorites are Time for Bed by Mem Fox and Me and My Mom by Alison Ritchie. Tristan really likes Sandra Boynton's Dinosaur's Binkit, but that's probably a little too boyish and a little too young for Miss Hallie! I could ramble on about kids books all day!
I knew I could count on you, Misti! We love Sandra Boynton's Belly Button book...but that has been in and out of the rotation for a while. For a LONG time, it was read every single night multiple times! And we have Me and My Mom--it's such a sweet book. Hallie has so many books, I wonder if we'll ever read them all! Hopefully we will!! :o)
Llama Llama Mad at Mama is by far my favorite. The Red Pajama one was first (I think) and doesn't have quite the rhythm or excitement that Mad at Mama has. :o) But it's still cute. There's another one, too. Something about being sad, but it's about the first day of school I think, so I'll hold off until she starts preschool for that one.
nora also loves llama llama mad at mama and ballet kitty! so much like hallie. mom got nora a book for christmas that is called "storm is coming" (i'll have to get the author) that's about the barn animals being scared of "storm" which they apparently think is a person. nora is scared of storms so it's a great book for her.
Llama Llama Misses Mama is the other one...we love all the "Llama Mama" books, as Charlie says!
