Sweet Summertime

I love summertime. Everything slows down. OK. That's a lie. We have been super busy the last few weeks and things have finally slowed down for us. We are waking later, walking out to the pool whenever we want, and don't have much of a schedule. I. Love. It. After a quick trip to Alabama for my cousin's wedding and a quick trip back to Texas for Hallie's dance recital, we made it back to Alabama for a little relaxation. On the way back to Alabama, my niece begged to stop at the Duck Commander shop. Sadly, the duckmen were out of town, but she still had a blast just being there (through her disappointment). Now it's long days, swimming all day long, sunscreen, naps (or missing them), friends, family, relaxing and fun.

Picture posts for all our summertime fun to follow! :o)

iPhone update

A little of this, a little of that. I ended my 2012-2013 school year and packed for Alabama the same day. We had a whirlwind flight that didn't start off very well. Let's just say fine print should always be read. If it is, it could potentially save you hundreds of dollars. Like say six of those. Sigh. While our day was extremely frustrating, we trusted that we were where we needed to be and considered that perhaps God was protecting us through a hairy situation. We left Dallas late, missed my cousin's rehearsal dinner, but made it to Alabama safely. On Saturday (June 8) my sweet cousin was married in a gorgeous dress, in a beautiful setting, and with sweet friends and family surrounding her.

We just got back to Texas after a long day of traveling, and we have two extras--my mom and niece Abby. My dad backed out as did my other niece, Hattie Grace. Honestly, I can't blame them. Ha. If not for Hallie's dance recital (and Father's Day), I might have backed out, too!

Here are some quick shots of our quick trip.
