Twinsies?

We've had a lot going on the past two weeks. With school and home "duties", I just want to spend every last second soaking up H & H. The time is passing so quickly (moreso at home and the weekends than at school!). I have some catching up to do...but I had to make a quick post. We had a surprise guest last night. Kevin stopped to pick up some Baylor tickets and got giggles from Hallie and grins from Harper. Fun times! We need to see you and Kelly more often!

Who has more hair? :o)

I'm Eloise, I'm six!

Halloween 2012 is in the books as a success.  Hallie always chooses what she wants to be for Halloween.  And I'm proud to say that with the exception of last year (Strawberry Shortcake), her costumes have always been pretty unique and original.  This year was no different--Hallie wanted to be Eloise.  And I truly think if there were another Eloise movie in the making, Hallie would fit the part to a T! :o)  I was going to make Harper's costume--a sack of potatoes.  But time just got away from me.  So we decided last minute (literally) that Harper would be Baby Eloise.  Hallie LOVED the idea, so that was fun!  Hallie said, "I'm Eloise, I'm six.  She's Baby Eloise, she's zero."  Ha!

We stopped by our almost neighbor's house (and friend and teacher at our school) on the way to our church's fall festival.  Hallie actually got to say "trick-or-treat"...in hindsight, there were a few other houses we should have stopped by, but we were running a little behind anyway.  Hallie had a lot of fun at the fall festival and saw several little friends.  Harper hung with us the whole time thanks to RahRah who took Harper out into the hallway and snuggled her for a while. :o)

My little Eloises. :o)

Harper and RahRah--look at those eyes!  Oh my!

Hallie loved this bouncy house...there was a HUGE ball hanging from the top.  Four kids were on little pedestals, and they tried to knock each other off.  They all fell on purpose...of course. :o)

Little Pumpkins

We made a quick stop by Central Christian Church's pumpkin patch this afternoon after lunch.  They had some gorgeous pumpkins there!  I miss going to an actual pumpkin patch...but the patch we went to a few years ago closed due to last summer's drought.  This was just fine, though...we didn't stay long (seems to be our family's theme lately) because Harper really needed a nap. :o)  I was able to snap some really sweet Fall pictures of my sweet girls!

Such a sweet, beautiful girl!

Daddy and his girls...in the very bright sunshine!

Sun.  Is.  Too.  Bright.

Love, love, love!

I got a little grin out of Harper...and there's a haze on the lens.  Sigh.

My sweet girls!

Fall Fun

Fall is in the air here in Texas!  Finally!  Yesterday we headed out to World Hunger Relief for their Fall Farm Day.  I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't what I expected.  Ha.  Nonetheless, the weather was beautiful and the scenery was, too.  Hallie enjoyed running around, seeing animals, painting with veggies, and simply being outside. Hallie tried lunch there--farm grown veggies and farm raised meat.  She had beans, squash, and a mystery meat.  The squash was delicious, and the meat...well, I'm still wondering what it was.  It was disgusting--at least the bite I took.  Hallie seemed to like it, though. :o)

Painting with veggies

Hallie is so silly...all the time!  Love her personality!

Oh my!  How I love that little face!

This was the petting zoo...two goats and some chickens running around.  Ha!

She was very interested in the chicken...finally, a guy caught it and let the kids pet him.

Cedar Point Cinema

Friday night was movie night at our house.  And it wasn't just any movie night...it was a production!  Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings was showing!  Daddy went all out to make the night special for Hallie.  He is so creative, and I absolutely love that he adores her as much as he does.  She was super surprised and completely excited about the night that was planned just for her.
The concession stand...

The ticket counter...Hallie was shocked when Jonathan opened the door.

Giving Daddy her ticket

Movie Bucks!  What will she buy?

A commemorative doll for the occasion?!  Fun! :o)

Sweet Cheeks

Well...my time is up. The stay at home gig is over. It has been a wonderful 10
weeks with my little sweet cheeks. While Harper's early arrival threw me for a curve, I am so thankful for those extra weeks with her! I am going to miss spending my days with her. While I am going to miss her incredibly, I know that Harper will be more than taken care of! And the silver lining to it all is that I'll get to be with Hallie every day. I'll see her on the sidewalks, in the cafeteria, and on the playground.

God has taken care of the details this far...He will continue to take care of them!

I held my little sweetest love a little longer today...

iPhone Fair

We headed to the fair this afternoon! As we were leaving, it started raining. So, I left my camera at home and depended on my iPhone to capture or fair memories. We didn't stay long...just long enough to spend a whole lot of money and realize that the fair really does bring people out of the woodwork! Ha!

When we got there, we headed straight to the Ferris wheel. It is by far Hallie's favorite thing about the fair. I must admit, it's my favorite thing, too! It rained on us while we were on the Ferris wheel. Thankfully it was a quick shower and didn't rain again until we got home. I attribute the lack of rain to the fact that we carried umbrellas into the fair with us to have to lug around for 3 hours. ;o)

We had a great time--we all got our fair fix. Hallie got a wristband this year and rode lots of rides and even won a fish! And by "won a fish" I mean we spent $4 trying to win a 10 cent fish and the lady gave one to Hallie for "free". She also talked us into a little home for said fish. Hallie was quite upset when she handed over her goldfish (which was brown) and watched the lady put it under the counter and get a new fish. She was comforted by the fact that the lady tossed in a friend for the new fish. Jonathan got his funnel cake (whih he generously shared with all). And I got my very large bag of cotton candy (which I also shared). :o)

Hallie was SO excited to ride the Ferris wheel!

So proud to have a wristband (meaning she could ride any ride as many times as she wanted)!

Yummy funnel cake. :o)

Hallie ran into a friend from last year's school--Malachi!  They had lots of fun!

$9 later (and we stopped at Target for $5 fish food later!)

Daddy bought me cotton candy!  Yummy!
