Happy 30th Birthday, Jonathan!

We got to celebrate Jonathan's birthday with his family before we headed back to San Antonio. It's a very special birthday as Jonathan is the big THREE-OH! HA! We had a delicious dinner at Outback where Hallie entertained everyone passing by. She's quite the character. Of course, just as our food arrived, she decided the high chair wasn't good enough and needed to be sitting amongst the "real food"! After dinner, we headed back to Jonathan's parents' house where we had yummy spice cake for Jonathan. Hallie helped Grammy put the candles in his cake (each candle represented 5 years) and then tried to help Daddy blow out the candles.

On our way to Outback...Hallie was very
interested in the railing.

Christmas with Grammy and Gramps

We got to celebrate Christmas with Jonathan's family when we got back from Alabama. Hallie had a great time opening her gifts from Grammy and Gramps! I know they enjoyed watching her get into everything. She got a very special gift from them--a sweet rocking chair that they finished themselves. It is absolutely beautiful! I know Hallie will spend a lot of time in it, reading...just like her daddy and I did in our rocking chairs!

Our fun stockings!

Hallie's new barn...she loves the animals in it!

Gramps picked this out! Hallie is
definitely our little princess!

Happy 10 months!

Our sweet Hallie is TEN months old! I have no idea where the time has gone. I was thinking back to all her "firsts" in amazement. She has learned so much in such a short time!

We celebrated Hallie's 10 "month-a-birthday" on the road--traveling from Alabama back to Texas. We spent the night on the eve of her "month-a-birthday" in Ruston, Louisiana. She had a fabulous hotel crib and explored the entire room--crawling under the coffee table and desks. She was adorable! :o) Her actual "month-a-birthday" was spent riding for 7 hours to Waco, TX to visit her Grammy and Gramps. She was a trooper and traveled beautifully! We let her stay up a little later to celebrate her 10 months!

Some of her accomplishments, now that she's 10 months old, include (but are not limited to):
*crawling rather quickly
*
being out of anyone's sight before they can even say "Hallie"
*
finding pennies in the oddest places and then trying to quickly put it in her mouth before Mommy or Daddy can get it
*pulling up on anything and everything
*trying (rather unsuccessfully) to climb the stairs--this resulted in Mommy and Daddy putting up a new baby gate
*cruising around the coffee table
*pointing at things she wants/sees
*waving hello and bye-bye
*feeding herself "star puffs" among other things and drinking water from a sippy
*just being silly! :o)

We are absolutely enjoying seeing Hallie grow and learn every day! She never ceases to amaze us and definitely keeps us on our toes! We never knew we could love someone so incredibly much!

Ten month pictures will be up soon.

All good things...

Hallie had a good time playing at Nonna and Pop's the last couple of days there. Nonna had "her girls" dressed alike one day, so I snapped a couple of pictures. The last night there, Hallie enjoyed playing chase with Pop. Hallie would take off crawling down the hall and Pop would crawl behind her saying "I'm going to get you". She would get down the hall a little ways, stop and look behind her to see how close he was. Then she'd giggle and take off crawling again! It was too cute!

Abby thought it would be fun for she and Hallie
to get in the laundry basket...they definitely
had fun in there!

Who is that baby in the mirror...

This video is from our trip to Alabama...Hallie had a great time playing with the cute baby in the mirror during our hotel stay on our way to Alabama! She was too cute playing with herself. I just can't resist posting it!

This one's for Kyetra...

My sweet friend, Kyetra, gave us a very special Christmas card. I bet she had no idea that the $4.99 card would go such a long way! LOL! Hallie has enjoyed that card for the past week. She picks it up, looks to see who's watching, and then opens it up and just smiles! It is the cutest thing! Enjoy!

Kyetra--friend, this one is for you!

Hallie meets Cailin

Hallie got to visit with "Aunt" Stacey and "Aunt" Mandi and her "cousins", Noah, Mason, and the newest addition--Cailin! Hallie was so excited to see everyone, but just wasn't sure about the new baby. She was a little territorial when it came to Cailin's pacifier, which you'll see in some of the pictures. She wanted to steal it every chance she got! We had a great time visiting with friends!

Sweet baby--Cailin Renea, 5 1/2 weeks old

Mason loves giving Cailin kisses (and he also
loves being in the picture!)

Hallie didn't understand that she couldn't
play with the little baby!

So...she got a little mad when Daddy moved
her away from Cailin.

Sweet friends--we hope Hallie and Cailin will
be as good of friends as we are!

Can I see that, Nora?

No, Hallie. I don't think so.

Mawmaw has a big box of old toys for the great grands.
They enjoy playing with them more than their new ones!
