Stickeroni and high heels

Hallie has two new loves--stickers and high heels.

Jonathan has recently gotten her on a sticker kick when she found some glittery heart and star stickers laying on the table. He put a few on her hands and up her arms. Since, she wants stickers on her hands almost daily. It's pretty cute because she really prefers Jonathan put them on her. When he puts them on her, she'll wear them practically until they fall off. When I put them on her, she pulls them off and scatters them about the house, landing who knows where (often on the rear of my pants, bottoms of shoes, etc.).

This morning, I was in the kitchen and I hear a loud "clomp, clomp, clomp" coming from our bathroom. I look up to find Hallie in some of my "tall shoes" (as I call them). It was the cutest thing! She already has a fondness for shoes--taking one pair off to put on another. Surprisingly, Hallie did a pretty great job of walking around in my "tall shoes" and stood right back up when she toppled over in them! It was extremely cute to watch!

16 months

Today is Hallie's 16 month birthday. We cannot believe that 16 wonderful months have already passed us by! We are enjoying every second with Hallie--she is such a blessing! I have tried to take pictures of her on each of her "month-a-birthdays"...but it is getting harder and harder as she doesn't want to stop long enough for Mommy to take a picture! So I basically have to put her in a situation where she can't be on the go (in the big rocking chair). But it still doesn't last long! And after that, I just try to follow her around with the camera and try to snap a picture here and there. She is such a mess!

I feel like I am constantly amazed by Hallie. She is so sweet and loves to learn! And she is so observant of absolutely everything! Jonathan got a wall hanger for his guitar for Father's Day. He finally put it up Monday evening--Hallie and I weren't home. When we got home (and since Monday night), Hallie has to let me know that there is a guitar on our wall probably every 20 minutes or so. It is so cute! Tonight before her bath, she was running around naked (her favorite thing) and she ran behind her chair while Jonathan and I were getting her bath ready. She quickly came running to us, pointing behind the chair like there was something behind there. She does this with bugs so we'll get them up for her, so we figured that's what she was pointing at. She peeks around the chair and says "eh, eh" as she points. She had tee-teed behind the chair and was letting us know! We got a kick out of that! Jonathan cleaned it up for her and as sweet as you please, Hallie looked up at him and said, "tank-too" (thank you)! Our hearts melted. She also says "bess" (bless you) when someone sneezes! So sweet!

Working on her month-a-birthday! A little
bolt came out of the vent (read: she pulled
it out of the vent) and she was trying

so hard to get it back in!

Hallie was trying to put the lens cover on the camera!
I guess she was tired of Mommy taking pictures!

Parade on Cumberland Avenue

We cooked out at Jonathan's parents one night while my parents were in town. I forgot to post these pictures, but after looking at them again and remembering the story, they're just too great to not post! My mother-in-love pulled out a lot of Jeremy and Jonathan's old toys and Abby got out the drum--which had shakers and cymbals inside it. She (and maybe Jeremy) decided they needed to have a parade. So Jeremy took both girls outside and lead them down the sidewalk in their three-man parade! It was hilarious! They probably parading up and down the sidewalk for 30 minutes! He is so great with kids. Hallie loves him and Abby took right to him!

The leader of the parade!

Taking a break from parading...

Off for round two!

Mayborn Museum

Saturday morning before Mom, Dad, and Abby headed back to Alabama, we took Abby and Hallie to The Mayborn Museum on Baylor's campus. We had never been, but had heard great things about it. It was a fantastic museum for all ages! Abby and Hallie really enjoyed all the hands-on activities the museum provided, and the adults enjoyed watching them play! There was also a natural history section to the museum that Jonathan and Dad visited while the girls went to the gift shop--we were ready for lunch by this point! HA! We did walk through the cave portion of the natural history and that was pretty interesting. I didn't get any pictures of it, though. After the museum, we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel, made a stop by Sam's for everyone's essentials and then said our good-byes in the parking lot. I was pretty sad because both Abby and Hallie were asleep, but just as Mom and Dad were backing out of their parking space, Hallie woke up! So they pulled back in and got to say good-bye. We were sad to see them go, but can't wait for their next visit. Mom says they're definitely flying next time! :o)

Thanks for visiting us, Nonna and Pop! We enjoyed having ya'll here so much and miss you like crazy! Kelly and Jessica, thanks for letting Abby come! She and Hallie had a ball! We miss her and can't believe how big she is getting! She is so precious!

Hallie was very interested in this iguana, but would
not go near it without someone closeby.

Abby and Hallie loved this transportation portion
of the museum! There was a firetruck, too! Hallie
climbed right up into the school bus and began
driving! Too cute!

This was Mrs. Moen's Neighborhood. There were
little streets and shops--it was like a little town.
There were all these little cars and a ton of kids
in there, so I didn't get many pictures.
Hallie is definitely a good cop! :o)

Hallie's favorite spot--the bubbles. Or
"bubaaaahs" (whispered softly) as Hallie
calls them!

I think this was everyone's favorite! A giant piano!

My mom and dad--Nonna and Pop!

The girls were asleep at this point of our good-byes.

Enjoying time with the fam

Last night was our last night with the fam...they're leaving this morning. Mom and I went shopping yesterday and found the cutest shirt for Hallie that I just had to have. It has a child-like drawing of Mary Poppins and is the absolute cutest!! It's a little too big still, but she will definitely grow into it! :o)

We ate at Fudrucker's last night--a kid's favorite. After getting some prizes (a squishy ball for Hallie and a silver "bling" necklace for Abby), driving a sports car (Kelly and Jessica...watch out!), and riding a horse we went to Baskin Robbins to end the night with some ice cream!

Abby's Photo Shoot

Before our zoo outing, Hallie decided she needed to take a nap. She crawled up in my lap and proceeded to go to sleep. Sweet thing! So, while Hallie was napping, I decided to take a few snaps of my beautiful niece, Abby. She enjoyed it being "all about her"! :o) Here are a few of the many I took.

Fun at the Zoo with Abby and Hallie-Lou!

We enjoyed a (hot) afternoon at the Cameron Park Zoo. Abby and Hallie enjoyed seeing all the animals! Abby and Hallie both walked a while and rode a while. It was a fun afternoon for everyone!
